About Me

Hi, I am Chen Siqin from Singapore born in the year 1991. I am a concept artist and illustrator aiming at the games, film and comics industry. Since young I have always loved to draw and tend to feel more competitive when drawing. So during my secondary school years I took art as my electives and drew two original comics for my secondary school N' level and O' level examination and that's where I decided to pursue a career that I enjoy doing. Before I started painting I used to like to draw a lot of anime-like characters and then I progressed to learn to draw and render more realistic looking characters on paper and then I got exposed to digital painting and I grew to like digital painting as well. Now I am a graduate from Nanyang Polytechnic's Digital Media Design Animation, striving to work as a concept artist and illustrator. I am also currently looking for a full-time, part-time or freelance job related to what I am doing. Personally I enjoy observing and playing with animals, watching anime, movies, reading comics, playing video games and transformers toy as I feel that these things helps to inspire me a lot when I paint or design a character. And the very first time I saw an animated cartoon was when I was in primary school when I watched my very first anime, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball though I do not really remember everything about this two anime but I know I was very amazed by how cool the characters were and made me started wondering how those people did it and that inspired me a lot.
